The previous week we showed you a video with Ubuntu running on a Nexus 7 tablet. Yesterday Canonical released a little app which helps developers install Ubuntu on Nexus 7 with a single click. Of course the boot loader of Nexus 7 has to be unlocked first. A wiki page has been created on how to install Ubuntu 12.10 on the Nexus 7. Of course there are still many known issues and bugs open. Rotation, bluetooth and web camera are not working and of course there is no way to right click!
Ubuntu Nexus 7 desktop installer is available for 12.04 and 12.10 through a PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-nexus7/ubuntu-nexus7-installer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-nexus7-installer
Here are a few screenshots.
