Fedora 16 Installation Guide

Fedora 16, codename Verne, is available for download and it comes with a lot of new features and bleeding edge software. It comes with the new Gnome Shell 3.2 and KDE Plasma Workspace 4.7 along with Linux kernel 3.1. Grub2 is now used by default and HAL has been completely removed. BTRFS is still not the default file system but you can of course select it during the installation. If you haven't done already download Fedora, install it and let's continue with the post installation guide to configure some basic stuff for Fedora.

google drive logoAfter months of rumors Google has finaly realised Google Drive, it's cloud storage service. Google Drive is offering 5GB of free web space to anyone with a Google account. Drive is accessible from any web browser at drive.google.com or one of the dedicated clients it provides for Windows, Mac and Android. An iOS app and a Linux client are to follow in the coming weeks. In my Android mobile phone Google Docs was replaced by Google Drive application. However for the time being I can't login into my Drive.

google logoAbout two weeks ago Google offered a preview of Project Glass, their augmented reality glasses. If they had shared this on April 1st someone would say that it's just a joke. However it seems that it isn't. Project Glass seems to be using something like Google Goggles application for Android and iPhone. However the interaction is done by your eyes and voice! It's something like wearing a smartphone in your head! The video below shows an ideal scenario, however you can see what they aim to do through this project.
