Following my previous articles, Calculator Scope, YouTube Lens and PirateBay Scope for Unity, I will show you one more Scope for the Unity Dash. Ubuntu Grooveshark Scope allows users to easily search songs on the popular audio streaming website of Grooveshark. This Scope is available for Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot and 12.04 Precise Pangolin. To install it open a terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:scopes-packagers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unity-lens-utilities unity-scope-grooveshark
Once installed log out and log back in. You can access it through the Music Lens.
When you click on a song your browser will open and the stream will start. Unfortunatelly if you click on another song a new tab will be opened. This is something that needs to be fixed.
