Spotify is probably the most popular streaming application with millions of users and music tracks. It has mobile apps for Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry and dedicated desktop clients for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. In this guide I will describe how you can easily install Spotify in Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) and 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal).
Just open a terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free"
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 94558F59
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install spotify-clients
Type in your password when asked and after a while you can launch Spotify through Dash. Pretty easy!
