Linux Books

Of course the Internet along with the help of Google is a great source of information. You can answer almost any question you have about Linux and find many tutorials, guides and help. However many people prefer reading this information on a printed book accesssible even when they are not online or don't have a computer in front of them. I've received many e-mails asking me to propose them a few good books regarding Linux commands, administration and for specific distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora etc. So, I've searched for a few good books. Here they are. Happy reading!

Convert video files to iPhone

First download a trial version of Cucusoft iPhone Video Converter from here. If you want to convert dvd to iPhone as well you'd better download  Cucusoft DVD to iPhone Converter Suite trial version from here. Cucusoft iPhone video converter supports avi, avs, divx, xvid, wmv, asf, rm, rmvb, mov, flv, mpeg, mpg, m2p, m1v, m2v, dvr-ms and vob video files.

Run iPhone Video Converter and select 'Open file' (1). You can also select multiple files by pressing the ctrl button. The default profile setting is 480x320 mpeg4 movie. If you want to change this click on the drop down 'Profile' menu (2). You may select H.264 codec as well. Νext select the 'Output' folder (3). It is the place where the converted video will be stored.

If you click on the three dots next to the 'Profile' menu the following window will appear and you can configure some extra Audio and Video settings such as Video Bitrate, Frame Rate, Video Size as well as changing the video resolution between 4:3 and 16:9.

When you have opened all the video files and you have made the neccessary settings click the 'Convert' button.
